Frozen

Typing, typing, typing along
Words flowing through my mind and onto the page
The story takes shape sounding almost like a song
Then
Nothing
The screen is frozen like a block of ice
All those words gone like the morning fog
Off you go, and back on again
Five seconds later, ice yet again
I restart you
You let me get farther
Tempting me
Then you freeze again
This would go so much faster if you hated me not
Oh, why can’t you love me, you stupid laptop?
You worked perfectly just an hour ago
I yell and I scream
I pound and I shout
Then storm down the hallway in a huff
You mock me by working for my parents
You truly hate me, don’t you?
If I only had the proof
To show to my dad
And reveal the truth
Then you’d be sorry
Then you’d be gone
